Designed to respect the house and the way you live
Old Town's homes were built long before standard cabinet dimensions existed. That's where detailed cabinetry earns its keep. Our Tedd Wood line in particular lets us spec inset doors, furniture-style pieces, and made-to-measure runs that sit right in a home where nothing is plumb or square. Because our showroom is minutes from the Historic District, it's easy to bring in photos, measurements, even a cabinet door from the house, and work through options in person.
Old Town Fredericksburg Kitchen Questions
Do I need historic approval to redo my Old Town kitchen?
In most cases, no. Fredericksburg's Architectural Review Board reviews exterior changes within the Historic District, but interior kitchen work generally doesn't require ARB approval. You'll still need standard City building permits, and we'll help you understand exactly what your project needs.
Can you match cabinetry to a historic home's character?
Yes. Lines like Tedd Wood let us spec inset doors and furniture-style pieces that fit out-of-square historic rooms while honoring the home's period.
Do you work in homes with no square walls?
Constantly. After over 35 years in Old Town, working around settled floors and plaster walls is routine for our design and install team.
